Rob was a beam of light with a contagious smile who will be missed sincerely. Having Rob's presence on the sidelines alongside his words of encouragement at times would make what seemed as the impossible, possible. Passionate coach with a warm heart.
Will be deeply missed by all.

Rob was the life and soul of the party. I remember him holding court at the club after one Sale mixed tournament back in the 90s; he had been playing for Stone, I think. Anecdote followed anecdote, never coarse or crass, just enthralling and hilarious in equal measure. A kind and thoughtful man, always happy to give freely of his time to further the progress and enjoyment of all athletes. I am forever grateful for all his help and support whilst 3rd team captain. A truly selfless man, who will be much missed by many, not least his dear wife, Isabel, and children Sam and Katie. Thank you and God bless you, Rob. x

I remember so many hockey tours with Rob, his great sense of fun, always making you feel part and parcel of it. Most importantly, being greeted by his beaming smile and welcoming hugs 🤗 will be forever greatful to have known Rob, he was one of a kind. Sending love to Isobel, Katy and Sam.
